The MINI Rooftop Edition revolves around two colors used in opposite ways. Choose Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic for the body and Melting Silver III Metallic for the contrasting roof and mirror caps, or reverse the combination with a Melting Silver III Metallic body and Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic accents. Roof-color-matched bonnet and rear stripes continue the contrasting treatment across the exterior.
Both color combinations are offered on the MINI Cooper S 2 Door and MINI Cooper S 4 Door, creating four distinct configurations. Each also features 17-inch U-Spoke Grey wheels with all-season tires and Piano Black exterior trim.

Both versions of the MINI Rooftop Edition use the powertrain from their respective MINI Cooper S models. A 2.0-liter MINI TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine produces 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, with power sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
That gives either body style responsive performance while allowing shoppers to choose between the compact proportions of the MINI Cooper S 2 Door and the added passenger access of the MINI Cooper S 4 Door.

Inside, the MINI Rooftop Edition takes a more understated approach that keeps the exterior color treatment in the spotlight. Vescin Black upholstery with Black Knit complements the dark cabin, while John Cooper Works sport seats add a performance-inspired touch.
The announced configurations also include Iconic Trim with Comfort Package Plus, along with MINI technology centered around the 9.4-inch round OLED display and MINI Head-Up Display.
