Who says you need a huge SUV or a pickup truck to deal with the winter weather here in Glencoe? There are several MINI cars that can do just fine when the snow starts to fall, including the following.

MINI Cooper

The tried-and-true classic MINI Cooper is a very capable vehicle for driving in snowy conditions. While the base engine is a 134-horsepower turbocharged unit, for the most power, you’ll want the John Cooper Works GP trim. This one comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out an impressive 301 horsepower.

The MINI Cooper has excellent agility, so you’ll have little trouble maneuvering around slow or stalled vehicles. It also comes with many standard safety components, such as automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning.

MINI Cooper Clubman

The MINI Cooper Clubman also has exceptional handling and strong brakes, which you’ll appreciate when roads become slippery. Its standard engine is a 189-horsepower turbocharged unit, but if you opt for the John Cooper Works GP, you'll get to take advantage of a 301-horsepower engine. Standard safety features include rear parking sensors and automatic emergency braking.

MINI Cooper Electric Hardtop

When you have to drive in the snow, stopping anywhere can be treacherous. However, with the MINI Cooper Electric Hardtop, you won’t have to stop to get gas. Plus, when the battery is fully charged, you’ll be able to travel up to 110 miles. If you have a 240-volt power outlet, you can get it completely charged in about eight hours. It also comes with many features to keep you safe, including a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection.

MINI of Glencoe wants to help you have a calm and relaxing winter. Visit us to check out these three models or anything else we have in stock.
