If you have ever driven a compact SUV like the MINI Countryman, you know how great smaller SUVs are on the road. Luckily, the 2022 model aims to be the best model yet, and here at MINI of Glencoe, we're ready to give you the inside scoop on this MINI SUV.
Power and Performance
The new MINI Countryman comes with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that produces 134 horsepower. There are also two other engine options available: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo (189 horsepower) and a plug-in hybrid powertrain made up of a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor (221 horsepower).
Depending on which configuration you choose, you will get either a six-, seven-, or eight-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard, and all-wheel drive is available.
Fuel Economy
The MINI Countryman gets very good gas mileage for its class. With the base model, you will earn up to 26 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway. For the best fuel efficiency, we recommend choosing the hybrid model, as it earns up to 73 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).
Tech and Safety
The MINI Countryman comes with a variety of tech features, including two USB ports, Bluetooth® connectivity, and a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. You will also get a 12-month subscription to SiriusXM® satellite radio, navigation, and wireless device charging as well.
You’ll appreciate all of the standard safety features in the 2022 MINI Countryman. These include lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors. You can also get self-parking assist and adaptive cruise control if you want enhanced protection.
