834 × 400At MINI of Glencoe, we offer a wide variety of vehicles to local drivers, and most of our capable cars also have multiple variants to offer. The 2020 MINI Hardtop, for example, is available with multiple engine options and comes in a number of trim levels. The most important choice, however, might be choosing between the two-door and the four-door model.

2020 MINI Cooper Two-Door vs. Four-Door

If we're going to talk similarities between these two models, we first have to go over trim levels. Each is offered in the Classic, Signature, and Iconic trim levels, with the Iconic offering the most tech and luxury features. Each model also offers similar standard features, like a 6.5-inch color touchscreen, parking sensors, and a rearview camera.

Drivers can also choose between Cooper and Cooper S models for the two-door and four-door versions of the 2020 MINI Hardtop. The Cooper model comes equipped with a TwinPower Turbo engine that produces 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, while the Cooper S model has an output of 189 horsepower and 202 lb-ft of torque.

Key Differences

There are some key differences to keep in mind when you're deciding between the two-door and four-door versions of the 2020 MINI Hardtop. If performance is your priority, you should know that the John Cooper Works model, with its total output of 228 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, is only available when you choose the two-door version of this MINI vehicle. Otherwise, the main differences concern dimensions and interior space.

The 2020 MINI Hardtop 4-Door offers 1.5 more inches of rear legroom and 13.1 more cubic feet of cargo volume, compared to the 8.7 cubic feet found in the two-door model. On the other hand, the 2020 MINI Hardtop 2-Door offers slightly more front headroom: 40.3 inches compared to 39.9 inches.
